Expert Network Members and Community Educators:
Share your Ideas that Worked! and You Could Win Great Prizes!

Replicating positive behavior strategies is a great way to extend best practices in safety education. The Home Safety Council is inviting educators to submit Ideas that Worked! to bring the Get Ready with Freddie! Program to life in their classrooms and communities.

We want to hear and share your ideas! HSC will reward 100 members of the Expert Network who submit their own Ideas that Worked. The contest is open to Expert Network members in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.

Entering is easy! In 300 words or less, describe how you used the Get Ready with Freddie! Program to raise community awareness about disaster and emergency preparedness. Tell us how your lessons influenced students to take action to work with their families or others in the community to prepare. Also if a student in your community wins the Kids Prepare America student contest, you may have a chance to join them in Washington, DC!

Judging Criteria:
Entries will be judged on creativity and originality (30%); demonstration of community or classroom participation (30%); clarity of expression (20%); and adherence to contest rules (20%).

The Prize:
One hundred (100) educators each will receive a $100.00 worth of free educational materials from the Home Safety Council and your Ideas that Worked will be posted on the Home Safety Council Web site.

Deadline:
All entries must be submitted online and received by November 30, 2007. Winners will be announced on or around January 30, 2008.
